HOPE - 5.29.09

Taken at Relay for Life on 5/29/09 at about 2AM.

For those of you who don't know, Relay for Life is a cancer research fundraiser where teams raise money, then stay over night at a "campsite", which, in the case of my town, is my school's track. White paper bags with candles inside (luminarias) are placed around the track, each one bearing the name of a cancer victim, be it a survivor, someone currently battling cancer, or someone who passed away because of cancer. Some luminarias are placed on the bleachers to spell "HOPE".

I apologize for the poor quality of the photgraph. This is my first photography submission! Relay this year was really fun, so I'll have to write a journal entry.
